John is a senior partner of the firm, having founded the firm in 2002. With over 28 years of experience practicing law in state and federal courts throughout Texas, John has a broad base of experience in a variety of transactional and litigation areas of practice. John is Board Certified in Estate Planning & Probate Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, and in recent years John has focused his professional efforts on banking, real estate, estate planning, probate, and corporate work. John continues, however, to accept select commercial litigation matters, including matters in which John can offer his deep knowledge of Ellis County while serving as local counsel on matters pending in Ellis County courts.
A native of Waxahachie, John spent the first six years of his legal career working at firms in Houston, before returning to his hometown to begin the firm that has grown into Wray Willett Stoffer Kosoris PLLC. John received his Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University, and his law degree from the University of Texas School of Law. John has a long history of community service in and around Ellis County, including past terms as Mayor of Waxahachie and State Representative for District 10 of the Texas House of Representatives.
Jason Willett is a senior partner of the firm. During his 30 years of practice Jason has worked extensively in Family Law, Personal Injury and Mediation in addition to handling complex civil litigation and employment issues. Jason has handled over 2500 Family Law cases and over 500 Mediations during his years of practice. Jason is admitted to practice law in all Texas state courts, and the federal court system, including the United States Supreme Court and handles cases in numerous venues throughout the state of Texas.
Jason is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin and received his law degree from Baylor University School of Law.
Kevin is a partner of the firm with over 15 years of experience handling both transactional and disputed matters relating to business, banking, real estate and estate planning. Kevin represents a diverse group of clients that includes small family-run businesses and large, multi-national firms. Areas of focus include large scale land development and homebuilders, large and small community banks, investment partnerships and a broad array of business entities.
Kevin is a graduate of the College of William and Mary and received his law degree from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. Kevin is an active member of the Ellis County community and frequently contributes his time to multiple civic, charitable and faith-based organizations including the Rotary Club and United Way.
Ashley represents clients in a range of disciplines including probate, estate planning,
guardianship, real estate transactions, general business matters, and entity formation. Ashley serves individuals and small businesses by working with clients to efficiently solve legal issues. Before attending law school, Ashley had a long-standing career as a paralegal and an office manager for law firms in the DFW area. She is passionate about serving the legal needs of her community and supporting other local
professionals.
Ashley serves as a board member for the Ellis County Salvation Army. Ashley’s prior
service to her community includes frequent volunteer work as a board member of the
Shackelford Elementary PTO, board member of the Waxahachie Education Foundation,
an inaugural board member of the Simpson Elementary PTO, and coach for peewee
cheerleading. Ashley has also offered pro bono legal services through texaslawhelp.org
to assist pro se litigants navigate family law and other legal issues. Previously, Ashley
enjoyed serving at Minnie’s Food Pantry and chairing a golf tournament benefiting City
House.
